Sunny north facing home.The lounge,dining room, kitchen & main
bedroom all enjoy beautiful sea views over the Waitemata Harbour.
The main bedroom has an ensuite. We are 100metre walk from Howick
Beach. Howick and the surrounding area has several other beaches all
within a few minutes drive. The neighbours are friendly and tend to
have been here for many years, nobody moves from such a nice spot.
Howick and Surrounds
Howick is a quiet friendly village about 23 Km South East of
Auckland. Auckland City is accessible by road (about 35 minutes) or
by a lovely local ferry service which takes about 30 minutes from
the wharf and drops you in the centre of town.
Auckland is known as the City of Sails. It is said that Auckland has
the largest boat owning population per capita in the world.
There are several golf courses nearby (We have 2 sets of clubs which
you can use)
New Zealand is an outdoor and sporting country, all manner of
interests are catered for. Auckland is a beautiful city with an
equally beautiful harbour. Whale and Dolphin watch trips can be
taken from the City Centre.
There are many and varied restaurants close to home.
Our house is ideally suited for seeing the North of the North Island
(Bay of Islands), also Coromandel Peninsular, Rotorua, Taupo and
even Napier. These are all wonderful places to visit.
Our home is about 25 minutes drive from Auckland International
Airport.
The climate in Auckland is very mild. We don't get extremes of
temperature in either summer or winter.
The People
Sheree and Colin are empty nesters. We have lived in this house for
10 years. Colin is a retired Engineer and Sheree is an almost
retired Accountant. Our interests include Golf, Bridge, Walking,
Reading, Travel and Diving.
We maintain our home in a tidy, clean manner and can assure you we
would treat your home with the same care.
Nearby we have relatives and friends who can assist you should you
need anything.
Destination
We have had two very succesful house swaps and are keenly looking
for more.
We are open to suggestions for any destination.
We are looking for a swap for later in 2008 but are open to offers.
We have swaps in Canada in September 2007 and England/ Germany in
Feb. Mar. April 2008
